Privacy notice

What this site collects, and what it doesn't.

Two different things are described below, and they are governed differently: this marketing website, and the handling of case material once an engagement begins. Most privacy notices blur the two. This one keeps them apart, because the answers are genuinely different.

1 · This website

No accounts, no analytics, no advertising trackers

This site has no login, sets no cookies of its own, and runs no analytics or advertising tracking. We do not build a profile of you, and we do not sell or share visitor data with anyone.

The contact form does not send us anything

The enquiry form on the Contact page composes an email in your browser and hands it to your own email application. The values you type are not transmitted to a Pyra server, and are not passed through any third-party form processor. Nothing reaches us until you press send in your own mail client — at which point we receive an ordinary email, held in our business mailbox.

Third-party requests this site does make

We would rather disclose these than imply there are none:

  • Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) — requested by nearly every page to load two typefaces. Your browser's request necessarily reveals your IP address and the referring page to Google. We set no cookie through it and receive nothing back from it.
  • The client portal (pyrallc.sharefile.com) — only if you follow a sign-in link. The portal is a separate system with its own authentication.
  • Our hosting provider serves these pages and, like any web host, processes connection data such as IP address in the ordinary course of delivering them.

Self-hosting the typefaces would remove the Google requests entirely. That is a change we are considering; until it is made, this notice states the position as it actually is rather than as we would prefer it to read.

2 · Case material, once an engagement begins

Nothing sensitive should reach us through this website

Please do not send privileged or confidential case material by email or through the enquiry form. Case material is exchanged only through a secure channel established at engagement. The Security page describes that handling, including de-identification before delivery — which runs in our own pipeline — and per-matter isolation, which is configured in our file-transfer provider; we have not independently verified it end-to-end.

Children's information

Family-court records routinely name children. Where Pyra processes a record, identifying details are replaced with role labels before any deliverable is produced. This is not incidental to the product — it is the point of it.

Your rights, and how to exercise them

You may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to info@pyra-llc.com. Where material forms part of a legal matter, retention may be governed by the engagement terms and by counsel's own obligations, and we will say so plainly rather than delete something counsel is required to keep.

Changes

If this notice changes materially, the change will be described here rather than made silently. Questions: info@pyra-llc.com.
